A sound mind in a sound body-25/01/2021

Today is the fifth day of online class and first hour was handled by George Sir. Our second P.E class started with a silent prayer. George Sir made us practice Pranayama which was taught last class. He later discussed about the timing, do's and don'ts while practicing Yoga. One of the major benefit is that the internal organs gets stimulated while doing yoga. He described the circulation of blood from heart to lungs and vice versa shortly (I was taken back to 12th grade☺️) 


Another one 'Brahmari Pranayama' was learnt. It resembles the sound of a female bee thereby got the name as Brahmari Pranayama. 

    Method of practicing Brahmari Pranayama.

It's benefits are:

# It reduces anxiety, anger, insomnia, blood pressure.

# It creates a soothing effect on nervous system.

# We can observe a speed up in the healing of tissues after surgery.

# It reduces throat ailments.

The new day of a week started with a refreshment for the mind and body.

For the optional hour, a zoom meeting link popped up in mobile. I got into the meeting on time. I also got a chance to see the senior batch of our department. We did certain activities which are useful for the week. With that, the meeting came to an end.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Tomorrow is 26th January, 71st Republic day of India. I'm pretty much excited for I can go back to college and see my classmates 😃.
