Community Living Camp: Begun

 Day-01: 14.03.2022

14th March 2022 marked the first day of Community Living Camp. With the prayer song of Parvathy Thampi from Natural Science optional began the camp. Megha S. Nair and Megha A.S performed a marvelous dance performance on the stage. 


 Ancy ma'am, Camp Coordinator welcomed everyone to the Five-Day camp. Then an introductory message was given by Dr. K.Y. Benedict Sir. Later Subinjit J.V, 65th College Union Chairman delivered the presidential address. Mr.Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor of MG College,Trivandrum and Mr Prem Kumar, Vice President of Film Academy, Cine Artist inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp. Mr.Prem Kumar released the video which depicted the names of the three groups.

Later Rev.Fr. Thomas Kayyalackal (College Bursar) , Dr. Jiby Geevarghese (Union Advisor), Dr.Jojo John (Assistant Professor) delivered the felicitations for the camp. Official meeting ended with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Nikhil D, General Secretary of NISARGA Union.

The afternoon session was handled by Mr Sibin Anthony,former student of MTTC and Life Skill Trainer. He conducted an ice breaking session which was an effective one. Through connecting funny elements and various activities , he went ahead with the session. I personally like the activity session in which we were asked to do various poses in certain situations. Our team scored high scores during the activity part and it started with the phrase: " Sibin says..."

With a lot of duties and activities done, the first day of camp came to an end.

 After yesterday's glorious event, we are back to offline classes. After the prayer, it was optional period. Neena miss entered the class and asked about our well being. She taught different phases of teaching profession. And also made us write about the best teacher whom I have met. Roshan was called out to read the assigned work. Also at the end of class Shilpa, Lekshmi, Athira and I were congratulated by our classmates for winning pens yesterday. Giby Mam handled second hour. She taught three mental systems and they are : Id, Ego, Super Ego . She told a hilarious incident to illustrate about the mental systems. It was so much fun to hear her experiences, stories etc.  Later Maya Mam took the third hour. She taught about the qualities, skills and competencies that a teacher should possess. "The mediocre tells.. The good teacher explains..The superior teacher demonstrates..The great teacher inspires.." During Lunch break, we practised dance💃 for tomorrow's programme...

Joju Sir handled the first hour. The students of English department took their seminar portions. Web 3.0, Web 4.0 and Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) were the topics. They did a superb job in helping us understand these topics. Web 1.0: staffing information provider where people read websites but rarely interacted with them. Web 1.0 is a read only web. Web 2.0 is an interactive and the social web enabling collaboration between users. It is a read and write web.  Web 3.0: change both how websites are made and have people interact with them.
