 Day-03 : 16.03.2022

The most awaited day arrived. A field trip was conducted on the third day of the camp. The MTTC family visited ''Kuthiramalika'' and Veli to refresh ourselves .



Kuthiramalika Palace is one of the architectural wonders in the vast complex of royal buildings situated near the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum. The palace was built by Sri. Swathi Thirunal (Maharaja of Travancore, brilliant music composer). The palace got its name due to the wooden carvings of 122 horses which supported the southern roof. It is a perfect example of traditional Kerala style of architecture and impresses everyone with its intricate carvings, huge pillars and traditional style of flooring. Many architectural designs especially the roofs resembled the ones at Padmanabhapuram palace. 



After understanding the historical aspects and aesthetic beauty of the palace,we had our lunch together in an open area. Then we headed towards Veli Tourist Village and reached Veli beach. Veli beach consists of Golden sand with a waterfront park . The park adjacent to the beach comes with different kinds of plants species and art pieces.Veli beach offers boat rides, floating bridge, floating restaurant, pony rides and an open-air theatre.

Everyone was highly attracted towards the beach area and started refreshing themself while playing in the water. A trip to Veli was better according to me. My mind got refreshed and helped me in making me feel good after all the stress- strain gone through a few months back. At 3:30 p.m. we started our return journey to the college in two buses. It was a mesmerizing day with lots of relief even though heat was a little barrier.

 After yesterday's glorious event, we are back to offline classes. After the prayer, it was optional period. Neena miss entered the class and asked about our well being. She taught different phases of teaching profession. And also made us write about the best teacher whom I have met. Roshan was called out to read the assigned work. Also at the end of class Shilpa, Lekshmi, Athira and I were congratulated by our classmates for winning pens yesterday. Giby Mam handled second hour. She taught three mental systems and they are : Id, Ego, Super Ego . She told a hilarious incident to illustrate about the mental systems. It was so much fun to hear her experiences, stories etc.  Later Maya Mam took the third hour. She taught about the qualities, skills and competencies that a teacher should possess. "The mediocre tells.. The good teacher explains..The superior teacher demonstrates..The great teacher inspires.." During Lunch break, we practised dance💃 for tomorrow's programme...

Joju Sir handled the first hour. The students of English department took their seminar portions. Web 3.0, Web 4.0 and Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) were the topics. They did a superb job in helping us understand these topics. Web 1.0: staffing information provider where people read websites but rarely interacted with them. Web 1.0 is a read only web. Web 2.0 is an interactive and the social web enabling collaboration between users. It is a read and write web.  Web 3.0: change both how websites are made and have people interact with them.
