"I was absolutely flabbergasted with the news" -19/01/2021

 What do you guys think the news is? My day started with the news of online class from 19th January. I was startled 😮 to receive the message. Time has arrived to travel the road of online class. At 9 am, I got the first Google meet link. Ancy mam taught us to create Google forms and gave a briefing about online classes. Also, started teaching on the topic 'Developmental tasks'.

Joju Sir took second hour. He gave instructions about the creation of blogs, YouTube channel, Shubhachindha etc.

Later Neena miss took the last hour. Firstly she showed us a video of an ideal teacher 'Ranjitsinh Disale', winner of Global Teacher Award 2020. His victory is an energy booster for even a common man of a developing country. Some of his major contributions are : 
# He embedded unique QR codes in texts.
# He translated the text to mother tongue of children.
# He erradicated teenage marriage and ensured  100% attendence of girls.
I felt immense happiness to know about him and he is a perfect example as 'शिक्षक प्रतिदर्शनम' (one who imparts knowledge with empathy).

Next our destination was Jantar Mantar in Jaipur. It was built by King Sawai Jai Singh in 1727-33. Also it is included in UNESCO's list of global heritage. Jantar Mantar is a statement of outstanding Universal value. It plays an inevitable role in the development of astronomy and architecture.

With this our first day of online class came to an an end.

 After yesterday's glorious event, we are back to offline classes. After the prayer, it was optional period. Neena miss entered the class and asked about our well being. She taught different phases of teaching profession. And also made us write about the best teacher whom I have met. Roshan was called out to read the assigned work. Also at the end of class Shilpa, Lekshmi, Athira and I were congratulated by our classmates for winning pens yesterday. Giby Mam handled second hour. She taught three mental systems and they are : Id, Ego, Super Ego . She told a hilarious incident to illustrate about the mental systems. It was so much fun to hear her experiences, stories etc.  Later Maya Mam took the third hour. She taught about the qualities, skills and competencies that a teacher should possess. "The mediocre tells.. The good teacher explains..The superior teacher demonstrates..The great teacher inspires.." During Lunch break, we practised dance💃 for tomorrow's programme...

Joju Sir handled the first hour. The students of English department took their seminar portions. Web 3.0, Web 4.0 and Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) were the topics. They did a superb job in helping us understand these topics. Web 1.0: staffing information provider where people read websites but rarely interacted with them. Web 1.0 is a read only web. Web 2.0 is an interactive and the social web enabling collaboration between users. It is a read and write web.  Web 3.0: change both how websites are made and have people interact with them.
