The last day of അവനിജ🔥😎👏

Today was the final day of Arts fest and all the group events were conducted. The group events were തിരുവാതിര, നാടൻ പാട്ട്, സംഘഗാനം, വഞ്ചിപ്പാട്ട്, Mime, Skit and Fusion dance. My events were Fusion dance, Skit and it was scheduled in the afternoon session.  Morning I got the news that one of the participants of Thiruvathira team was not well and couldn't perform in the event. Then to find a solution I called Abhirami chechi(Arts Club Secretary). I was relieved when she told to remove her pair to solve that issue😊. Reached the college by 8.30 am, practised for half an hour. At 9.15 am, there was a photo session of all the members of MTTC and we occupied our place in the gallary of Basketball Court.  The last day started with Kadhaprasangam followed by all other events. Doing the make-up, getting each participant ready and booking the chest number for each event were the difficult procedure for me. The Second day of Arts🎭 fest- 30/03/2021

 Today marked the inauguration of Arts festival at MTTC. The chief guests were Renowned poet Murukan Kattakada and Cine fame Jeevan. Murukan sir recited one of his famous poems for us. The stage competitions begun after the official inaugural ceremony. Today, my events were English & Hindi recitation, Hindi elocution. I recited Lord Ullin's daughter for English and पथ की पहचान for Hindi recitation. The topic for Hindi elocution was स्वच्छ भारत . I was delighted by my performance 😊. By God's grace I bagged first for Hindi recitation and Elocution. I could provide my team with 10 points which made me so proud.  After the events, I went back for the practice. Our group didn't have any script for skit and we didn't do any rehersal too which increased my nervousness. The dance practice continued till 5 p.m., drank a lemonade to boost up the nutrients😁. Holi Celebration 🎉 @ MTTC

 I have reached the campus earlier as there was dance practice in the morning. Prayed for the group members at chapel. I don't know why my mind was so nervous, hope that everything goes well. First pic was captured during Hindi essay writing competition. Today literary events were conducted. We practiced till 9:45 a.m. and I went to write Hindi poetry in reading room. Shilpa and I ensured that all our members in the list have participated in the literary events. The topic for poetry was भूख and the first line was as follows: भूख एक ऐसी विकार जो किसी को भी आती। After an interval of 1-2 years, I am back to the playground with Hindi language. We got a 40 minutes duration for the event. After that went for the practice, Parvathy chechi and Ashna was coining different steps for the songs. Chechi taught us the steps one by one.   26/03/2021: Friday The last day of the week started with prayer at chapel. The students of English department have completed the seminar topics of Maya mam's portion.  As my group didn't have a captain, I was in search of capable personality. I asked all the seniors, as the role of Captain is highly stressful nobody was ready to take the charge. By God's grace, I got Shilpa Mary from P.S. as our captain. Finally I was relieved as I could share my work load with her. As I have started different WhatsApp group for group events, they started selecting songs, steps etc. Our Seniors Parvathy chechi, Anjima Chechi, Archana chechi and all others helped us in all the possible ways.  27/03/2021: Saturday The members of the group events came to college for the practice. The day started with prayer at Chapel. Then first hour was handled by Maya Mam. Students of English department took seminar portions. Also during the seminar, everyone got an opportunity to share their opinions and ideas on relevant issues prevailing in society. It resulted in great discussion. Later in the optional hour, Elsa, Georgia, Reeba did Micro teaching on different skills under the supervision of Ronald sir.  During the afternoon session, the students of Natural Science took seminar on technology paper. After the seminar, Benedict sir and Chairperson came up with a list of students. We were divided into four groups and I belong to പല്ലവിനി group. Willingly everyone selected me as Vice captain. Launch Of Nisarga and the dubsmash competition 😎

Today marked the inauguration of the 65th College Union "NISARGA" and Arts club. The day started with prayer at Chapel. Nisarga Union conducted a dubsmash competition and all the departments should participate in it. I was so nervous about the dubsmash competition as I have a role to play. The Chief guests for the event were Dr. Rajan Varghese Member Secretary of Kerala State Higher Education council and Nayana cine fame.  After the official ceremony I got an opportunity to shake my legs with Naina on the stage. It was a great experience for me and I was the one who took the chest number for the dubsmash competition. And it turned out to be one and I was in panic. Our classmates helped us in getting ready for the competition and we did the last practice before getting onto the stage.  Our team comprised of Georgia, Elsa, Roshan, Gopika and I. Fresher's Day @ MTTC-23/03/2021

The 64th College Union "Ekayana" of Mar Theophilos Training College conducted the freshers day for the newcomers. The event was named as 'Glucose' . At 10:30 a.m., our seniors provided us with a spoonful of glucose powder and told us to occupy the seats at auditorium. Within a short time, the chief guest of the event arrived. RJ Unni was the guest of honour and MTTC family wholeheartedly welcomed him. After the official ceremony a video portraying about RJ Unni was played. We were provided with a refreshment box which I loved the most. Then the mic was handed over to Sophie chechi. She started calling out names from a box in which 98 names of first year students were there. Each time new task were given. Finally my turn arrived for the task. Both Josena and I were called out to play the roles as Dora and Buji . I hope we both did a great job. Today was my birthday🎂. I was so happy to receive lots of messages and phone calls of my loved ones on my special day. I was extremely happy and got ready for the college. After the prayer at Chapel, I reached P.S Studio and everyone sang Birthday song for me. Then we went for Maya mam's class. She discussed about Cultural diffusion, Enculturation, Acculturation, Cultural Inertia- its reasons, Sanskritization and Role of Education with regard to culture. Cultural diffusion means of accepting cultural pattern consciously or unconsciously from other Nations or within the nation. Enculturation is the process by which people learn the requirements of their surrounding culture, actual values and behaviour appropriate in that culture.  Today marked the end of three days Commission for seniors. Due to Covid 19 pandemic, we were the students for our seniors. It was a great experience as I was taken back to my school days. We got an idea💡 on how to teach the subjects like Physics and Chemistry in class effectively.  I was amazed of the skills acquired by our seniors after a two year programme. The class duration was 20 minutes. During the class, I could observe how each teacher gave attention to all students. To make the concept clear, the activities like Pick and Paste, Review questions, Follow up activity, Lab session etc were done. All our seniors took the classes efficiently and effortlessly. The basic concepts were refreshed in my brain 🧠.  After the lunch break, English department took seminar on the topic "Characteristics of Indian Society" in Maya mam's hour. The first day of the week started with prayer at chapel. Giby tr handled the first hour. From 10.30 a.m., the School Induction report was read out by leaders of different groups. Bro. Albin represented the group which visited St.Mary's H.S.S. He described about our experience in that school. Later Nikhil (St.John's Model H.S.S), Merin (Sarvodaya CBSE ), Kavya (Sarvodaya ICSE), Shilpa Mary( Navajeevan Bethany Vidyalaya), Greeshma( Sreekarym Govt High school) read their reports. The Induction programme provided us with lots of experiences and memories. During the afternoon session, there was Oath taking ceremony of 65th College Union of Mar Theophilos Training College. The union union is led by Subin as Chairman, Aleena as Vice chairperson, Nikhil as General secretary and Deepa as UUC. Dr.Giby Geevarghese is the Staff Union Counciler.

Final day of School Induction ❤️😎🎉

All of us gathered infront of the school gate at 9.15 a.m. After prayer at the chapel, we entered the school campus. Both Aparna and I were wearing saree of same pattern. Oh my God! I am twinning again that too in saree.  Firstly Bro. Albin and I arrived before Principal's cabin and waited as he was busy talking with Binny Sir, a close friend of my father. When Binny Sir got out of the cabin, he identified me and introduced to Rev. Fr C.C John.  He enquired about the other members and everybody assembled in his cabin. He interacted with each of us and provided us with the values of becoming a great teacher. He made us understood Who a teacher should be? A Teacher is an all rounder i.e., a motivator, inspirer, criticizer, friend etc. A Teacher must always promote a child and thereby promoting a family which leads to the development of a society. School Induction- Day 1

09/03/2021: Tuesday  I rushed to St. Mary's Higher Secondary School for the induction program to reach on time. I was also nervous about the experience ahead us. 14 of us with Brother Albin infront reached Principal's office to meet Rev. Fr.C.C.John. As Albin bro and I were the leaders we entered his cabin, discussed about our motive of school visit. Due to study leave we could not meet the students. Then we met Headmaster Aby Sir, a good friend of my father, identified me. After the conversation, he permitted us to explore the whole school.  We, a group of 14 members started our expedition. We left Aby Sir's cabin and headed towards the ground.To escape from scorching heat we occupied the shade in ground and noticed the way they preserved the trees. There we could observe Nakshatravanam, special court built for games like Basketball, Cricket etc, Noon Meal preparation room. We interacted with our Optional teacher Rajeev Sir. We watched 4 demo classes conducted by seniors. It was another good experience to observe them teaching Science. They taught Science through Enquiry, Role play and Demonstration model .   24/03/2021- Wednesday:  Happy Birthday to Gopika aka Khajangi💸😂🎂💰 Morning itself performed the act of borrowing Saree from Amma to look gorgeous 🤭on the Saree day. Giby Mam discussed about the School related factors, Socio-economic status and Economic status which are the variables of learning. Every aspect has an impact in the upcoming future of a child.  Maya Mam started the discussion on Pragmatism . Pragma means action and was originated in USA. Father of Pragmatism is William James. 19/02/2020: Friday  The last working day of the week arrived. The day started ✨ with the prayer. Maya miss handled the first hour. She discussed about the Aims of Education, Harmony and Curriculum of Realism. Archana mam discussed about Cognitive, Humanistic and Gestalt Psychology during the second hour. Benedict sir took class for one hour about the Early steps in Teaching & Pedagogy . "Learning must be a 'AHA' experience i.e; teachers must make a child learn concept joyfully. He also divided us into 3 groups based on the position among our siblings(like first, second, third child).  He asked us to write down the advantages and disadvantages of being first, second and third child. Each student from 3 groups were called out to read the written points. He told us that our position in family will influence us in taking decisions during childhood, adulthood and parenthood of our life.  02/03/2021: Tuesday  Due to the unexpected strike of public transport, offline classes was shifted to online. Joju Sir handled the first hour from 8.30 -9.45 am. He discussed about "Practicum" ,it's steps in doing that. He also stressed that we should focus to be an effective Teacher who inspires and inculcate values in our students. Second hour was handled by Giby Mam. She discussed about Personality Development. Personality word is derived from Latin word Personae (mask you wear) and sona (through sound) . A personality of a person can be identified through: * The way one communicates * Dressing style *Attitude *Smile * Neatness * Leadership * Punctuality * Approachable behaviour etc. Third hour Neena Mam assigned works for us to do. Thereby the online class came to an end.
